Workshop Story

Terms of Use

Last updated 4 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between the operator of Workshop Story ("Workshop Story", "we", "us") and the business that creates an account ("you"). By creating an account or using Workshop Story you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Workshop Story does

Workshop Story is a web application for mechanical workshops and dealership service departments. It turns technician notes into draft invoice wording, grades findings as Urgent, Work required or Satisfactory, keeps a follow-up list of outstanding work, drafts service checklists and compares clocked time with guide time.

2. Drafts must be checked by you

The wording, gradings, service checklists and guide times that Workshop Story produces are drafts prepared by software. They are not professional mechanical advice and are not the manufacturer's logbook or repair data.

3. Your account

4. Free trial, fees and cancelling

5. Your data

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Workshop Story to break the law, to mislead customers, to try to gain access to another business's records, to interfere with the service, or to copy or resell it. We may limit how much automated processing an account can use in a day.

7. Our software and brand

Workshop Story, including its software, design, wording and logos, belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service while your account is active. They do not transfer ownership of any part of it.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Workshop Story available and your records backed up, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change or improve the service. If a change materially reduces what you can do, we will tell you beforehand where we reasonably can.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, and subject to section 9:

11. Ending this agreement

You may stop using Workshop Story and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is not paid for. On request we will delete your records once your account is closed, except where the law requires us to keep them.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will tell account owners before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, and the courts of South Australia have jurisdiction.
